Day #2: How to Avoid Building a Mailing List Full of Squatters

Believe it or not, many of the people ending up on your list are just squatters. They download your freebie or consume your information but at the end of the day, they do not buy anything. They may even open your emails but they just take up space. They dont end up buying stuff that puts more dollars in your bank account. Thats the bottom line.

The reason why so many marketers suffer from this problem is because they believe that the more, the merrier. This is absolutely wrong. If this is how you think, it is no surprise you are continuing to struggle.

If you want to make your list live up to its fullest income potential, focus on quality instead of quantity. This would enable you to convert more of your list members. Instead of them just sitting on your list and possibly costing you a lot of money in monthly email system fees, more of them would convert into buyers.

Also, if you focus on quality over quantity, a lot of them would stay on your list longer and buy more stuff as a result. Finally, quality members are more likely to share your content.

All of the sounds awesome, right? Well, you better believe it because if you focus on quality members instead of just having a huge list, you will make more money from your mailing list. Unfortunately, this is easier said than done. You have to do this the right way.

One common mistake many marketers keep making is when they overpay through solo ads. They think that these pure niche lists are where the action is at. Absolutely wrong.
